How it works

How does it work?

GutterShutter completely encloses and protects. There are no vertical openings for water or clogging debris to enter, and no screens, inserts or filters to clog. Rainwater flows over and around the nose of the GutterShutter by the simple physical law of water surface tension. This will afford you the peace of mind that comes with knowing you no longer will be putting anyone’s health or safety at risk that comes with climbing the ladder to clean your gutters. Your fascia is no longer at risk to additional rotting as the exclusive High Back system ensures your board is covered in aluminum adding to GutterShutter’s water management features.

How does GutterShutter keep water from overshooting on different roof pitches?

The GutterShutter System offers you several hood options as one size does not fit all.

Gutter SystemCan GutterShutter be installed on my metal or slate roof?

Yes! Because GutterShutter is attached to your fascia board and NOT underneath your roof’s shingles and is offered in a variety of sizes and options, including a NEW larger hood size complete with specialty embossing and strategically spaced perforations, The GutterShutter System will provide your home with leaf & debris protection and additional water management.

Will water overshoot on a heavy rainfall?

No, the faster the rainfall the better the water surface tension works! Our Factory Direct Representative will help you choose the hood size that will ensure this on your roof type.

What if i still have to get on the roof for general maintenance on my home?

The GutterShutter System is made with 0.032” thick aluminum, the strongest application used for a residential application. Standing a ladder or other similar device against The GutterShutter is not a problem.

What if i eventually have to replace my current roof?

The GutterShutter attaches directly to the fascia board, in no way interfering or associated with the roof.

How is it attached to the fascia board?

Because the method of attachment is the most important part of any gutter system, The GutterShutter System attaches to the home using our unique, patent pending GutterStud, the heart of the system! Unlike typical systems that use an inexpensive plastic or glass filled polypropylene bracket, The GutterStud is made mostly from a virgin nylon material which will not shift due to material breakdown because of weather conditions and is applied to the fascia using ONLY two 3” galvanized screws, NO NAILS OR RIVETS, spaced every 24” on the board in a vertical fashion, ensuring permanent attachment to the home. Installation procedures are of the utmost importance on this home feature and The GutterShutter Company uses Factory trained applicators with vast experience in our Leaf & Debris Free Systems treatment to ensure your satisfaction in performance!

What about leaking end caps?

Your GutterShutter system is applied to your home with a Government patented one piece end cap that is screwed in to the GutterStud twice after being sealed internally with a private labeled GutterShutter caulk, leaving no holes or openings. The

patented end cap is also manufactured with virgin nylon ensuring it will not break down or deteriorate due to weather conditions.

How can i pay for it?

The GutterShutter Company is a national company large enough to offer the homeowner a variety of stress free payment options, including Same As Cash, Deferred or Traditional financing programs, all major credit cards, cash or check. “ALL OF THE GutterShutter Systems molds are engineered & designed to manufacture our patented and patent pending components with the homeowners need for permanent, maintenance free solutions in mind!”
